Ratan Reclaimed His Life From An Abusive Relationship

Like most of the stories I write, this one is also based on real life incident.

Many years ago, I was having a business dinner with the CHRO of a large organization. When during the meeting he was looking a bit depressed, I asked him the reason.

Even though he was quite reluctant to reveal the reason in the beginning; however, after some time he shared an unbelievable development that had happened with his elder son.

This story is based on the same.

In our society, we always talk about the torture that females go through after marriage. But, unfortunately, none even dare to mention innumerable incidents of the trauma that males experience.

WHY?

Infact, I am writing a novel on this issue to spread awareness in that regard.

Many more true stories of struggle and refusal to give up are in the pipeline. Keep reading my Personal Blog for the same.

Motivation, inspiration and the power to fight against Destiny's Torure are there within us. We just need to awaken that sleeping giant of resistance to not accept our black fate and fight it out until reaching the white end of the spectrum of life.

Come what may, we can't give up! Frankly speaking, living beings are not designed to give up. Otherwise, evolution wouldn't have happend.

Well, here is the story:

Ratan had married Sanjana with dreams of a happy life together, but little did he know that his fairytale would quickly turn into a nightmare.

Sanjana was not the loving and caring wife he had hoped for, but rather a cruel and sadistic woman who took pleasure in inflicting pain on her husband.

At first, the torture was subtle – passive aggressive comments, belittling remarks, and emotional manipulation. Ratan tried to brush it off, convincing himself that Sanjana was just going through a rough patch and that things would get better.

However, as time went on, Sanjana's cruelty escalated to physical abuse.

Ratan would come home from work to find himself at the receiving end of Sanjana's fists and harsh words. She would criticize his every move, mock his insecurities, and find any opportunity to make him feel small and worthless.

The bruises on his body matched the scars on his soul, and Ratan felt trapped in a never-ending cycle of pain and despair.

As the abuse continued to escalate, Ratan found himself slipping into a dark place. He felt isolated from his friends and family, too ashamed to admit what was happening behind closed doors.

The thoughts of ending his life crossed his mind more often than he cared to admit, but he couldn't bring himself to follow through with such a drastic measure.

One evening, after yet another brutal assault from Sanjana, Ratan decided he had had enough. He sat alone in their darkened living room, tears streaming down his face, as he held a bottle of pills in his hand.

The weight of his suffering was too much to bear, and he felt like there was no way out.

But just as he was about to swallow the pills and end it all, a tiny voice in the back of his mind reminded him of the person he used to be – the person he could be again if he found the courage to leave Sanjana and start over.

In that moment, Ratan made a choice – a choice to reclaim his life and his sanity, no matter the cost.

With new-found determination, Ratan packed a small bag and left their shared home in the dead of night. He knew that Sanjana would not take kindly to his departure and that she would do everything in her power to make him pay for leaving her.

But he also knew that he couldn't go on living in fear and pain, and that he had to break free from the toxic grip of his abusive wife.

As he walked away from the life he had known for so long, Ratan felt a mix of emotions – fear, sadness, relief, and hope.

He didn't know what the future held for him, but he knew that anything was better than the torture he had endured at the hands of Sanjana.

In the days and weeks that followed, Ratan slowly began to rebuild his life. He sought therapy to heal the wounds of his past and to learn how to love himself again.

He reconnected with old friends and family members who had been worried about his well-being for so long and most importantly, he found the strength to forgive himself for staying in an abusive relationship for as long as he did.

As time passed, Ratan's wounds began to heal, both physical and emotional. He realized that the suicide he had contemplated was not the answer to his pain, but rather a cry for help – a cry that he had finally answered by leaving Sanjana and taking back control of his life.

Although the scars of his past would always be a part of him, Ratan knew that he was now stronger, wiser, and more resilient than ever before.

The torture by his wife had almost led him to commit suicide, but in the end, it was his strength and courage that saved him from the darkness and guided him towards the light.
